黃瑀萌身兼薩克斯風演奏家、樂團指揮以及編曲家。音樂生涯啟蒙自師大附中管樂隊,擔任薩克斯風首席;中央大學土木系畢業後,考取交通大學音樂研究所演奏組,師事蔡佳修老師。樂團指揮啟蒙於NSO小號副首席吳建銘老師,曾經帶領國立師大附中以及國立中央大學管樂社獲得台灣音樂比賽特優,現為中央大學管樂社指導老師、新竹市立管樂團助理指揮、中央大學校友管樂團指揮。大學時期始將管弦作品改編為管樂編曲。擔任新竹市立管樂團助理指揮期間,更多次接受樂團委託編曲與創作,成為國內少數具備演奏、指揮、編曲專業的音樂家。

As a saxophone player, wind band conductor and arranger, Yu-Meng Huang’s enriching music journey started from senior high school when he was a chief saxophone player at the HSNU wind band. After graduating from the Department of Civil Engineering in National Central University, he was admitted to the performance group of the Music Institute in National Chiao Tung University majoring saxophone, and was instructed by Mr.Chia-Hsiu Tsai. Enlightened by NSO’s former vice-chief trumpet player Mr. Jian-Ming Wu, Yu-Meng Huang have great enthusiasm in conducting and teaching. He once led National Normal University Affiliated Middle School Wind Band(HSNU Wind Band ) and National Central University Wind Band (NCU Wind Band) to obtain distinction prizes in Taiwan Music Competitions. He is currently based in Hsinchu and works closely with NCU Wind Band, NCU Alumni Wind Band and HsinChu Municipal Wind Orchestra as conductor and assistant conductor.
